i recently watched it. The one made by ESPN a few years ago. I feel like I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to Pete Rose. But maybe somebody who has a little more information could tell me.......How accurate is this film when it comes to the true story of Pete in the late 80's?

Re: Hustle
I grew up in Cincinnati, and met Pete Rose several times. He was the speaker for my 7th grade football banquet - what are the chances of getting A-Rod to do that.
I found the movie fairly accurate, but didn't like the way they portrayed Pete as a mouth-breathing hillbilly. Seriously, the actor used all these facial tics, grimaces. Despite his considerable flaws, Pete was a really charming guy.

Frank's right, the portrayal of Rose was a little heavy handed, but that has been the case with most ESPN movies and their subjects.
