How is Ted Williams' The Science of Hitting? Worth reading?

  • #2
Must read for anyone interested in hitting mechanics or someone simply wanting to learn how Ted plied his craft. I know that it gets a fair number of mentions on the "Baseball 101" board.
"I became a good pitcher when I stopped trying to make them miss the ball and started trying to make them hit it." - Sandy Koufax.

"My name is Yasiel Puig. I am from Cuba. I am 21 years old. Thank you."

Read it about 4 times, and you'll get pretty much everything out of it, it's really rich material. It will really make you appreciate the skill of striking the ball squarely. Great book. Really good pictures, too.
"Straight ball I hit it very much, curveball, bats are afraid"
