  • At least the new Berra biography will serve a Purpose

I predict that the new Berra biography will be great - great as an antidote to insomnia.
A few pages will put me right to sleep.
They are hyping this book in New York area newspapers, but it will be another monotanous, mind-numbing account of "How great it is to be a Yankee".
If you can get through it, it's sure to be sickening to read, but most readers will be bored by the end of the first paragraph, and asleep by the end of the first page.
We don't need anyone adding more propoganda to the Yankees Myth.

      Honestly.

I've always enjoyed the books Berra has put out. I don't let a little thing like hyping from people who had zero to do with what is being hyped get to me.

The Meulens biography is done but it probably won't be released until 2010. Meanwhile, the publisher is rush-releasing "The Kevin Maas Story" and "The Story of The 1990 Yankees" (They finished In
        Last-PLace).
