So what's the next step? Is there much more interest from members here, on this site? Is it worth going on with only three of four members posting about the book here?

Honestly, I didn't see a lot of interest in discussing the Gashouse Gang. But the thread is out there if others still want to contribute. I don't mind hanging in there and tackling another book. Maybe it will pick up as summer comes to a close!

I am finished. I liked it, found out a bit I did not know. But I feel it focused way too much on Dizzy and his brother and disagreements with frisch and not so much about the Gashouse Ganhg itself. I know Joe Mediwck was surly. I know Pepper Martin was a character. Just stating such each time they were referenced without really going into detail doesn't tell me much, period.

Yea, I also thought it became more about Dizzy and Paul instead of the other guys at times, but I did learn alot about them and thought the book was a good read. I certainly recommend reading it.

I'm willing to read another book, but like you said is it really worth continuing with only a few members following the thread?

I have been really enjoying reading The Gashouse Gang. Really well written and enjoyable to read. Getting a real kick out of Dizzy Dean what a character.
