Robert Creamer passes

Bob Creamer also helped Red Barber with his autobiography, Rhubarb in the Catbird Seat, and it was marvelous. And he wrote a Sports Illustrated profile of The Vin in 1964 that still is the best thing ever written on him. RIP, indeed. A great writer.

Wow, I actually just finished reading his bio on Babe Ruth. And now I hear he's dead...

(His book on the Babe was excellent)

RIP; Creamer was an excellent basebal writer. His biographies of Babe Ruth and Casey Stengel are not to be missed.
