  • Blockade Billy

Anyone read Stephen King's short story "Blockade Billy?" I enjoyed the way it was told but, after the big buildup, I thought the secret was a bit of a letdown.

I read it a couple of years ago, I didn't think it was one of King's better stories.
They call me Mr. Baseball. Not because of my love for the game; because of all the stitches in my head.

There is a webpage on baseball fiction that links a review to it. I agree with this comment in the review about Blockade Billy.

"As always when reading Stephen King, I enjoy the first part of the story, when things are still hazy, much more than the denouement"

Your review of it sounds similar.
