  • Palmer and Weaver: Together We Were Eleven Foot Nine

I have been thinking about buying this book but wanted to know if anyone here has read it and if so what they thought of it.

Very entertaining! - with those two, how could it not be?

Yes. Loved this book. Mostly anecdotes and most definitely from Palmer's perspective, but very interesting for anyone who loves pitching, managing, and the combination of the two!

I read it not long ago while researching a book. I had seen a few reviews on Amazon complaining about Palmer being mean-spirited but overall I thought it was a good book. Palmer comes off as fairly witty--alot of the comments and insults and tongue-in-cheek. It has some inside stuff about the great Oriole teams but is not really a comprehensive book on their history; it is written as more of an entertaining look at Palmer's story, with particular emphasis on his relationship with Weaver. I think any Oriole fan would really enjoy this book.
