  • Drew Anderson or Drew Anderson?

Another Topps gaffe like the Ryan Braun one. Now that both Andersons are in the Reds organization I can see them getting confused often.
I actually got lucky because when I heard Drew Anderson signed with the Reds I went out and ordered a couple of his cards. Turns out I got cards of the other Anderson... who was already on the Reds.

Nothing related to the thread but it seems the Reds are getting an over load of young talent in the OF positions. They need to get that in pitching.

The first Drew Anderson (Reds) has the true signature. The Drew Anderson playing with the Brewers (who btw has himself a true rookie card right there, not a parenth-RC) managed to get his signature via a file mixup, I guess.

Motafy (MO-ta-fy) vt. -fied, -fying 1. For a pitcher to melt down in a big game situation; to become like Guillermo Mota. 2. The transformation of a good pitcher into one of Guillermo Mota's caliber.

Are you sure? I ask because baseball-reference lists the Brewers Drew Anderson as "Drew Thomas Anderson". Because the Reds Anderson hasn't made it to the bigs it doesn't list his middle name. Guess I'll look that up.

I stand corrected! I guessed (because the Reds' Drew Anderson's Bowman Chrome card is from 2005 and Drew T. Anderson didn't get a baseball card of any kind until 2007) and was wrong. The signature on both cards is that of Drew T. formerly of the Brewers.

            Drew Anderson (s) clarification

the orginal Drew Anderson (the one drafted by the Reds) is Drew Michael Anderson. The new Drew Anderson (new to the Reds) is Drew Thomas Anderson. Topps screwed up the baseball cards in 2005.
