  • A slow but steady start to my Canadian Connection Project

So, I was trying to come up with a relavant project to commemorate my daughter's birth year (2006), when I decided on a very obtainable yet unique theme. Since she was born in Canada, I thought I'd try to pick up an autograph of every Canadian to have played in the majors since 2006. There's only 23 to date, but 22 of them have or will have a certified sig. The challenge is to find nice low serial numbered or on card sig for each player.

Anyway, just wanted to show my progress so far. I also have a very nice Erik Bedard buyback autograph on the way #6/20. Still missing the big guns (Morneau/Bay), but all in due time.

    Thanks for looking.

Very nice project, being Canadian myself I will enjoy watching your collection expand.
"I see no reason why a small-market team like the Twins or Expos can't continue to remain competitive, just because it lacks players," Selig said.

I ultimately decided on a Google Maps theme as a way to pay tribute to every Canadian major leaguer since 2006, along with each of the 14 Canadian minor leaguers currently ranked by Baseball America as a top 30 prospect for their respective organization. Eventually, I'd like to add scans of the autographs I've picked up for each player, along with some other tidbits.

As always, any/all feedback appreciated. My main issue with this layout is the lack of being able to identify whose map pins are whose before clicking on them.

      Thanks for stopping by!
