  • Kevin Costner TTM?

    I sent out a TTM to Kevin Costner and got a return, I sent him a OLB, not a OMLB because I wasn't sure I get it back.
    It came back in 24 Days. I had asked him to sign the SS and then add Crash Davis, Billy Chapel and Ray Kinsella. Instead he signed a panel and didn't add anything else.
    I guess its a success? It looks real, I looked at a couple online.
    Someone is selling one on Ebay on a OMLB for $150. But, its signed with a Black Sharpie.
    I'm waiting on one from Tim Robbins. Sent it out the same day.
    Has anyone tried sending out Stuff to actors who played in baseball movies?
    I was thinking of sending one to Robert Redford and maybe James Earl Jones,
    who else did a baseball movie worth getting?
    I don't normally go after Celeb auto's. The only other one I have is Garth Brooks, he was outside Shea back a few years ago when he was singing the National Anthem.

            Nah, don't be sorry. Now that I am awake and thought about it. I actually like this thread. Believe it or not, I have always heard that Kevin Costner was willing to sign an auto or two. Now to get Ray Liotta & James Earl Jones would be neat to sign a ball!

              Ray Liotta, I hadn't thought of him. Thats a good one. and so is Dennis Quaid.
              I sent a ball out this morning to Jim Morris, the Pitcher who inspired the
              movie "The Rookie" that Dennis Quaid starred in.

                  Postage for Moriarty is gonna cost you. He lives in Canada or The Netherlands now and from what I have read, he's de-evolved into somewhat of a nut case.

                    Am I the only one who is skeptical of TTM items from large movie celebrities? Don't most of the movie stars have their secretaries sign items or use autopens?

                      I've always wondered if any of the TTM's I've gotten are fake.
                      I've only been doing the TTM since early Jan.
                      What is an autopen? A stamp? and can it be used on a Baseball?

                        I've gotten one stamp...from the now-deceased Jack Lamabe. He enclosed a note at that time saying he had rheumatoid arthritis and could not actually sign anymore, so he had a sig stamp (he stamped 8 x 10s of his Topps '63. '64 and '65 cards). I then made a voluntary contribution in his name to the RAF.

                          An autopen is a small device that mechanically affixes a signature onto a baseball card, photo, baseball, etc, etc. So yeah, it's a fake sig.

                            Other Possible Celebs. . .

                            Some other considerations:
                            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                            Tommy Lee Jones (Cobb)
                            Danny Glover and Tony Danza (Angels in the Outfield)
                            Tom Berenger, Charlie Sheen, Wesley Snipes, Corbin Bernsen, Rene Russo (Major League)
                            Bernie Mac (Mr. 3000)
                            and I'm sure there are many, many more.
                            Good Luck !
                              I was thinking of Ted Danson for "May Day" Malone on Cheers would look pretty cool on a Red Sox jersey. I'd love to have one of those framed in my basement.
