  • Need Jacobs Field advice

I'm going to a Red Sox/Indians game on the 15th and I wanted to know if any had any advice for me. We're gonna get in for batting practice since they allow fans to do that now. When the gates actually open my friend, brother and me are gonna go wait on the third base line in hopes of getting some Red Sox autographs. Does anyone have any advice for me? It'd be greatly appreciated.

    - Always call a player by his first name. A player is more likely to sign for you rather than the guy saying, "Hey number 23!"

    - Also, be patient. If there is a large crowd of people wanting an autograph from a player, you can bet that there will be some major pushing and shoving so be prepared.

    - If you're having a card or photo signed, have a sharpie marker ready. If you're having them sign a ball, always use a a ballpoint pen. You can also have players and managers sign your ticket stub.

-Some players may have a lot of autographs to sign and may only sign a few so be ready. If a player doesn't get to you, don't be discouraged and don't be like those who will forever hate their guts because they didn't sign for you.

-If you do get a signature, always say thank you.

    - Remember, players do not sign anything during the game.

You might have better luck getting Red Sox autographs by waiting on the first base line.

              Oh crap. Hahah.
Thanks for the tips. I obviously would've had no luck with the third base line.
              I feel like a moron.
I got some cards and a Photofile picture.
