    Geoff Blum error?

I don't think i saw this one posted but i do apologize if it is a repeat.

Toops Geoff Blum # 98- Cartoon says he hit a walk off hr in the 14th inning of the world series. Unless my definition of walk off is incorrect his homer was no walk off. He hit it in the top of the inning and the sox scored another run on top of his homer in that inning before the Astros came to bat.

Where do you guys find all these errors? How do you know that they are "officially" errors? Is there a book or website that lists what the errors are? I saw people post that certain cards were either officially or unofficially errors.

Error cards are kind of a fun spin on collecting!

      more topps 06 errors

here are a few more i found out at the local card shop.

#230 Jeff Kent says his rbi total in 2005 was 1312

#214 Wilson Betemit. His cartoon says "Willie played for and coached both the Yankees and Mets". Most likely this was supposed to go on Willie Randolph's card.

#202 the career totals for second baseman Luis Gonzalez of the Colorado Rockies are actually the career totals for Diamondbacks outfielder Luis Gonzalez.

#11 Michael Barrett Cartoon says Michael won the 2005 Rawlings Gold Glove award. Mike Matheny actually won the award.

All the errors we are finding are of the "uncorrected" variety. Topps certainly didn't print a corrected version of any of these cards, so every one contains the mistakes found listed in this thread.

I've also noticed that lots of the writing in the blurbs is targeted for kindergarteners, moreso than most baseball cards. A pretty shoddy set, sadly to say. A big disappointment from Topps.

          upper deck error

Anyone know what the story is with the 2006 Upper Deck #283 Jason Repko error. I see it is listed as UER but what exactly is wrong with it?

Any other error cards out there not listed in the thread for 2006?

Card 189 Jose Mesa. The colors on the front of the card are that of the Pirates- Yellow on the outside, Red on the inside. But it says Rockies at the top. Mesa is also in a Pirates uniform. Flip the card over, Its Yellow and Purple.

Card #7 Mickey Mantle. Under the cartoon, under the New York Yankees logo, says his career high homeruns in a season is in 1956:52 homeruns. When on the batting record, it says he hit 54 homeruns in 1961.

Card 186, Vincente Padilla shows him in a Phillies uniform, when it says that he is a Texas Ranger.

Card 214, Wilson Betemit. On the cartoon, it says that Willie played for and coached the Yankees and Mets, and it shows a guy holding a really fat baseball bat. The picture doesnt make sense, and neither does the name, "Willie". Come ON!

Right, also, it says that he has 43 career homeruns. If you do the math correctly, youll find out that Ichiro actually has 52 career homeruns. Off by nine!

Just so you know, picturing a guy in a different uniform than the card says really isn't an error. If a guy is traded/signed close to production time and they don't have time to airbrush the new logo onto the photo they'll just change the card.
