Hey guys, thanks to last year Ny city holiday I started collecting these two sets:
    1) Topps total 2005 baseball
    2) Upper deck all star classic

This week I received another box of topps total 2005 (thanks to ebay) and my collection goes on....I will look forward to complete these two sets and start collecting something of 2006 season. I will buy for sure Topps Total 2006 when it will be released and I ask you hints about other good sets to collect.

I say stick to Upper Deck, they're very pretty looking and they have some good rares. That's where I got my first in pack (not but, I have a bunch of memorobilia) rare, a Ken Griffey Sr. bat piece.

I'm still trying to put together the 2002 Topps Total set...I have all the key cards (Harden & Wright RCs) but no-one sells the commons, seeing as they're worthless. That makes it very hard to finish the set...

I hope to finish 2005 set quickly! I think I will buy another box and after that I'll try to search missing commons and specials on e-bay!

I have always liked Topps. In the Topps family, I like the Heritage sets the most. I also like Upper Deck.

              Getting recent commons

I had that problem until I found an awesome site: www.sportlots.com. Sellers compete against one another for your business, so when you call up a card by year and maker, you might get 50 different guys selling it, for all different prices, with the condition of the card indicated. (Recent years will almost all NM, naturally, so it's a no brainer: you go with the cheapest.) Go with it--it's a life-saver.

Also, another good one for cards of all years is Baseball Cards Only (www.bbonly.com). It's a conventional, buy-from-the-vendor type site. I got lots of odd commons from them, as well. Good luck!
              Thanks for listening!

I have approximately 50,000 to 60,000 cards. Probably 80% of them are
baseball. The majority is in the 80's through the 90's. I am trying to sell
all of them so I can concentrate on purchasing Cardinals memoribilia.
Any advice on how to unload these cards would be greatly appreciated. I am
now in the process of cataloging them but that is going to take quite some time to complete!
