  • March 2010 TTM Success Thread...

Post your TTM successes here for March!

    I got...

-Ike Futch 1/1 c/o home (Despite it being a technical success via email, I also got a really nice letter, some newspaper clippings, and Ike's phone number. Ike appeared for two days during the regular season in the Major Leagues with Houston in 1966, but never got into a game due to a knee injury.)
"They put me in the Hall of Fame? They must really be scraping the bottom of the barrel!"
-Eppa Rixey, upon learning of his induction to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Motafy (MO-ta-fy) vt. -fied, -fying 1. For a pitcher to melt down in a big game situation; to become like Guillermo Mota. 2. The transformation of a good pitcher into one of Guillermo Mota's caliber.

-Roland Hemond 2/1 c/o The Arizona Diamondbacks (Result of a technical success, but a nice letter as well anyway! Signed a Signature Card and also my protective holder.)
-Bud Harrelson 3/1 c/o home (With a terrific letter; Mr. Harrelson signed my 1973 Topps card, added a 1976 Topps card, and also added a postcard with the Long Island Ducks!)
