Seeing that there is a lot of success with Al Kaline signing items ttm, I sent him a ROMLB and $25 cash. According to last year's Harvey Meiselman book, $25 was the going price. Anyway, I received the ball back today in the return bubble mailer I enclosed...unsigned. Also received my letter, money and pen that I included. What the heck. Any idea why he might have refused? Did he go up on his price? Does he not sign baseballs any more. Does he have a new address? I'd really like to get his auto, but not sure now how to do it.

I guess I found the answer to my question. After looking around at other sites, it appears that am not the only one this happens to. Sounds like Kaline signs for some and not others. Not quite sure why. It also appeasrs that he is not the nicest guy out there. One guy got his money returned to him cut up in pieces. What is up with that? I guess I expected more professionalism from a Hall of Famer. -
The money was cut up? That's odd; it would seem to take less effort to sign the item than spend it cutting up the $$.Comment
