  • Bobbleheads

These things have become our new obsession. Especially the ones with big enough bases to have signed. Anyone have any collecting advice? Websites or Forums you reccomend? Any bobbleheads to trade signed or unsigned? We Got a Phil Niekro signed last weekend and we love it. Going to try to get a Juan Pierre Marlins Bobble signed that we have had for awhile .
    Thanks in advance

We picked up Rich "El Guapo" Garces bobblebellies when he appeared with the Nashua Pride. We did talk to Rich for a bit, but I can't remember if he signed them for us.

Bobbleheads are a strange animal for me. I never set out to collect them, but I have accumulated about 15 through stadium giveaways and our Reds Hall of Fame membership. Last year there were 5 different Johnny Bench bobbles, and this year we got 4 Big Red Machine guys (but missed Concepcion, he wasn't a part of the package and we didn't go buy one before it sold out). I also have a Chris Sabo, Joey Votto, Jay Bruce, Aaron Harang, and Mr. Red. There is probably at least 1 or 2 more that I'm not recalling off the top of my head. They look nice on the shelf, but they are just not something I will go out of my way to purchase, and I will never spend a large amount of money on one.

I've never been a big fan of the bobblers. I agree with hairmetalfreek that they look nice, but for my money I'd rather have a McFarlane figure, or a Starting Lineup, for display purposes.
Please help. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer last summer, and now I'm in a position where I need financial assistance. For the full story, please check out my GoFundMe campaign at https://gofund.me/3874ea2d. Thank you.

I have a few...mostly Red Sox ones....they're packed away now. My wife still likes to tell people that "when she moved in, there BOBBLEHEADS in the LIVING ROOM!"

The bobbleheads were replaced by knickknacks, which have now been replaced by baby toys and outlet covers! Ah...progress!

Actually, the timing of our new Bobblehead obsession is that our Son is inhis own room thatmhas a built in wall space that works well for the bobbleheads and the legos star wars models. Freeing up the living room for all ages to use. So Mike, there may be a time in the next 5-10 years where you get into them.

Ebay is always good. I just saw some neat bobbles of Yankees there, i forget who they were, but you could search on Yankees bobblehead, or just bobblehead to see all.

Hey, I actually have an extra of the Josh Johnson bobbleheads the Marlins gave away a couple of months ago. Unfortunately I didnt keep the box, I have one displayed in my 5 yr old's room, and one in my office (with a couple other ones that I have). If you are interested in a trade, I would take 2-3 autographed cards for it.................My son has also taken a liking to bobblehads, so I would obviously be trading the one in my office
