I just ordered a low crown 59Fifty New Era Mariners cap and I'm pleased with it. The low crown is much better than the high crown on regular 59Fifty caps. Anyone have any experience with the fit and quality of American Needle caps?

I've got an American Needle "Cooperstown Collection" 1983 Chicago White Sox cap that I'm very pleased with. I've worn it a lot over the last four or five years, and it still looks like new, and fits perfectly.

I'll tell you this, American Needle fits much looser than a New Era cap of the same size. An American Needle's bill is already curved. I feel if I go outside, a gust of wind could blow the American Needle cap off my head. Quite the difference as most of the New Era caps I've purchased over years, I've had to stretch out to promote blood flow. Quality for both seem to be good. I wonder how long New Era's contract with MLB is.

I was trying on New Era New York Mets caps at my local Lidz store, and found that different caps of the same size fit differently. I would be wary of ordering them online, you almost have to try them on first.

New Era's overall quality is hit or miss. I'm pleased with my most recent purchase which I ordered from their own site. However, a few years ago, I ordered a hat online from Lids and the hat had a logo that wasn't even centered. The button also came off after I grazed my head against a door frame, exiting a vehicle. I've never owned a cap where the button actually came off.

I had several American Needle caps in the 90s and early 00s. They eventually got too dirty to wear after a while. The quality was very good.

Atlanta's has already stirred up some controversy. In the p.c. era, probably not a good idea to feature a cartoon "indian".

Some of them look pretty sweet. There isn't as much ridiculous striping either, which seems to have been the norm lately.

Not all of them. Would you like to be seen in public wearing the Braves cap? The whole notion of a separate BP cap, seems phony.
