RIP Ryan. He committed suicide today at the age of 36.

So of course the natural thing to do is start a thread in the "memorabilia" forum. Way to have perspective guy.

They have always been posted here in the past. If there has been a change in board etiquette, I must have missed that correspondence. Please accept my heartfelt apology for this egregious blunder and impoverished error in judgement. Just like the three spirits visited Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas Eve, I have been visited by The Spirit of Board Etiquette Yet to Come! It is truly amazing that someone that just joined the board last month has more knowledge about board etiquette than a member for over eight years. Would you please take time from your hectic holiday schedule and advise everyone here as to where we should post information like this in the future as to not cause you any discomfort? I anxiously await this much needed information. Merry Christmas to you!!!

So what's the verdict, are his baseball cards worth more now?

You're correct, I am new a member and simply didn't know that this was standard procedure. Seemed to be a bit early, but if it's protocol here, then okay.

              Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

For about two days until the fervor over his death dies down.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Freel's death. I am more sorry to hear that he thought that there was no way out of his state of mind. Suicide has been called a "permanent solution to a temporary problem." Rest in peace, Ryan, and may God comfort those in your family.

Unfortunately, mental illness, which I understand Freel suffered from, is not a temporary problem. There's no cure. None of us know exactly what the state of his mind was, I certainly don't pretend to know if "there was no way out of his state of mind".
They call me Mr. Baseball. Not because of my love for the game; because of all the stitches in my head.
