  • Baseball Scrapbook Project (Maine Guides)

Here is the 3rd scrapbook that I have made for young collector friends in the hobby (1st for by son).
To Dennis with the opening theme being the Maine Guides (1984-88). There were 171 players and coaches and managers. We continue to look for additions and we ask for help here.
    Thanks everyone for viewing.

I have put together an incredible Baseball Autograph Scrapbooks for my son and friend. It has many sections players that share the boy’s birthdays , players that were born in Maine (their home state) and other categories.
Last fall I started an even larger section, the Maine Guides. This follows a “Maine” theme as there are sections for the Portland (Maine) Pilots 1942-1945 and the Portland Telegram League where pro-players played and a Portland Sea Dogs Coaches and Managers collection.
The Maine Guides has been very successful so far.
Of the 169 players that played for the Maine Guides, who were a Philadelphia Phillies affiliate from 1984-1988, we have gotten about 115. Most of them I pulled from my personal collection, many others sent requests through the mail. Some are still waiting. Others either have been traded for or given as gifts (thank you).
We have many of the players that reached the Major Leagues because they have easy contacts and realize that the Minor League experience players would be the hardest to get. But we have been able to get even some of those.
So, here is a list of players that we are still looking for:
I would entertain trading for any of these players I may also consider buying also.
      Major Leaguers

Good stuff. I grew up in NH and never went to a Maine Guides game, though I did go to that ballpark a number of years later to see Van Halen. Must have been 1995.
