Hank Foiles 1/1 c/o home in about a month. Signed a 1953 Topps in blue sharpie pen. Special thanks to Icee82 for tipping me off that Foiles signed TTM. Mr. Foiles included a business card promoting his new book, and wrote on the back "This card is my rookie card not a reprint. It has some value" and he made a cardboard sheath to protect my card. It came in handy, as my SASE was beaten into a pulp on the return trip. Will be ordering a copy of his book.

The author of his book, Doug Williams is really cool as well. He has written a book on the career of Jim Coates as well. I have an autographed copy of both books thanks to Mr. Williams! The website is www.hankfoiles.com.

A couple of former Reds in the house today.

                      Pokey Reese 2/2

Also purchased a signed Gold Glove baseball for $28 from an auction site just before Christmas and it arrived today!

Mike D, if you need any additional help on Lary Sorensen, he is the play-by-play announcer for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons' baseball team and the color commentator for the Winston-Salem Dash. I can get him easily for you as I live about ten minutes from both complexes!

                            A really interesting one today:

Joey Chestnut - 1/1 via home address in 2,180 days (sent out 1/8/2009). The competitive eating champ replaced my card with a CERTIFIED auto...from 2012 Goodwin champs. That's a new one for me! Worth a 5-year wait, for sure.
