Here's another edit I made from the BPL archives. This one shows Babe in the batting cage with coach Johnny Schulte (#21) behind him catching. There's no mistaking who that is behind the cage waiting for his turn, it's Lou Gehrig (#4).

Oops...my bad! I knew I had both pages somewhere (and in better condition). I combined them into one image for this post. Seems like these Mickey Mouse Mag's from the 1930's were made in part for the dairy industry. Having a fictional mouse interview Babe Ruth about his training regimen seems about right! :joking:

Babe & Buddy - ca.1943-45
Babe poses with his friend Buddy Hassett who had a very solid major league career before he joined the war effort (.292 career BA). Buddy played on the 1938 Brooklyn Dodgers when Babe was a coach there. His final year was with the 1942 New York Yankees, so that dates this picture between 1943-45.
