Speaking of Lyn Lary, whenever I'm identifying him in a photo, I always have to stop and try to decide if it's Lyn Lary or Bill Werber...they look incredibly alike!
I believe Claire was also an actress in her younger days.

Yes, she was an actress/model (of little note) before she met Babe years later.

        • Babe Works Out On The Wrestling Mat
Artie McGovern's Gym, New York City - c.1932
During the off-season, Babe's manager Christy Walsh liked to use Artie McGovern's Gym to have photos taken showing The Babe in a variety of rigorous workouts. Besides providing fun pictures for the press, they were also used as propaganda to the Yankees brass in order to show 'Babe's commitment to keeping in shape' for contract negotiations.

Yeah, Claire was a real looker in her prime. A Georgia Peach. But she was also a handful. She was no passive shrinking Violet. She actually wore the pants in the house.

Yeah, she managed to reel The Babe in quite a bit. It was probably a good thing for him at the time, but not so much for his daughter Dorothy.
