I stumble across this thread maybe once a year, and it gave me that same sinking feeling I experienced 6 days ago. Huge Falcons fan here. I have nothing but respect for Tom Brady, though.

Jeter, and on and on and on... It'll be this way until the BoSox win a championship, which means it'll always be this way.

Sorry Ken, but I have to tease you -- It's the law!

Silver Slugger Awards To Three Red Sox Players.

Three Red Sox players win Silver Slugger awards, most of any team.

David Ortiz, Mookie Betts, and Xander Bogaerts were named the best hitters at their positions.

David Ortiz, Mookie Betts, and Xander Bogaerts win AL Silver Slugger awards: The Red Sox continued to haul in the hardware, despite falling short of a World Series trophy. David Ortiz and Mookie Betts each collected their second award of the year, adding to their Hank Aaron and Gold Glove awards respectively, while Xander Bogaerts collected his first when all three were named AL Silver Slugger winners. Ortiz finishes his career as a seven-time winner of the award.

David Ortiz, Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts drove the Red Sox's MLB top offense.
