The way I see it is either way, the Sox should have the dominant offensive team in the A.L. again. The difference in 2004 will be the upgrade in pitching with the additions of Schilling & Foulke!
        I can't wait....

Please post the pix of the *VISITOR'S* clubhouse after Boone went *BOOM*!

What do you have left? Empty bench, as the Beantown bus scampers away onto the safety of the crying Sox fans up north.

Next October will mark the 86th consecutive no-WS-win year. Tell me, Ken: will 2005 really be your year? Or was that 2003?

Which uni are you folks talking about? Now don't you folks dare get together and start scheming behind my back or nothing. We'll have to break that out amongst you rabble-rousers fer sure!

Anyway, now that you've managed to come into my personal den, where Beantowners dare to tread, we'll have to figure out a way to put you into misery *WHEN* the Yankees win it all next season. Boston will never ever win it all, and us Yankee fans will have to make it as painful for the anti-Yankees as possible!

            Now then, Hiya, Deb!

                I'll tell you this . . .

I'd wager anything-amount that the Boston Red sox will win the World Series before your Yankees will. That's money in the (my) bank!

MOD NOTE: There will be ABSOLUTELY NO MONEY BETS ON BASEBALL in these forums.

                  Now to baseball,

There can be no doubt that Boston has had a great offseason but does that mean the end of "The Curse" is near? Only time will tell.

The Yankees appear to be a team in decline with some disarray from top-to-bottom. End of the dynasty? If it is, it was a good run. How many other francises have won 4 World Series and 6 pennants in 8 years? But the Yankee dynasties have been buried before... only later did the rest of baseball realize they weren't dead yet. Again, only time will tell....

I guess the wonders of Photoshop must cure the pain of not having the biggest offensive AL star, huh? Too bad that deal never came about. Gee, I'm sure that Nomah will be sooooooooo happy to hear how he'd almost gotten dealt by the ever-willing owners. Yeah, one day there'll be calmness and all. Yup, I'm even sure that the career-year bats will repeat their 2003 moments. Yup, everybody'll be happy, it'll be your year and all ...

When April rolls around, the "THIS IS OUR YEAR!" chants will repeat. Make sure you make up some "They played a great game, and we love that kind of ball down here" thing before October rolls around. Hey, may deaden the inevitable pain.
