It is my sincere hope that Contreras tapes that quote over his bed.
I was doing a few things, but Jose had bases loaded, no outs. I think it was a popup, strikeout and something else, but no runs scored. Could've been an ugly inning, and surely a "closer" mentality in him.

I didn't get to see the game. I guess that rookie pitched a fine game... But,
was Juan Dominguez that good? To hold that line-up to 5 hits & 1 run, he must of been . . .

I was busy looking for online bargains for some electronics stuff I'm considering. Either way, he's unseen, so nobody expects much, nor anything about his pattern, especially the unliklihood he's even bee scouted.

As to "that lineup", we had our B Team out tonight. http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/[email protected] Jeter, Giambi, Enrique Wilson are all out, so they oly needed 2 runs to beat us.

The best guys to send against the Yanks are either hi-ERA pitchers or rooks. You can't time what you don't know.

We'll try for the rubber match on Sunday, seeing what Moose can do. Like get loose!

          • Pulling the Pitcher

Since I will be at Fenway tonight, and Thursday, if Francona does not pull the pitcher, listen, and you will hear an insistent voice giving Francona specific instructions. (I have already got bail money lined up.) My instructions are gonna be very specific.

BTW, I don't care about any award, prize, stats, except W-L, and WS. I look at the others, for fun, but W-L, that's it.

Yup, sure seemed that way. Can't wait 'til Jeter returns, so he can join Giambi, Sheff, A-Rod, to begin teeing off on him!

Before March, I remember some woeful Bahstunned denizen refused to believe the Yanks would even have a chance, since the team wasn't comprised properly. Now then, have the Yanks even managed to keep pace w/the BoSox? Nahhhhhhh, it could *NEVER* happen, could it?

Cool, give us your seat location and I'll forewarn the NESN guys. They can keep a spare camera pointed at the guy trying to make his big move.

I'll make sure that Terry says, "Ahhhhh, keep yaself quiet, Bucko!"

So you don't care about runner-up prizes? Lowest team ERA? We'll check back later on to see how often you guys mention this during the season.

You care about the WS? Lemme guess, did your Pappy and Grandpappy also care tons about this also? Hmmmmmmmm, goes back a few generations, right? Hmmmmmmm, lemme guess again: your great-grandkids will be saying, "This is our Year!" in May?

Hey, I can always guess, right?

Nope. Yourself and TFAM said that the Yanks' chances of even *COMPETING* in the AL East were exremely laughable at best. Remember? Well, how's 1st place feel? Oh, I'm sorry, perhaps I shouldn't ask a Bahstunned fan about this.

There won't be any Tatu saying, "De Plane!" so no Fantasy Island. It's as predictable as ... a weak-hitting Yankee going yard into the LF seats.
Anyway, see yaaaaaaaaaa ... don't wanna *BEEEE* yaaaa! :gt

BTW, what's the 30,000 for? Sheesh, I'm almost up to 6,000 now, and just the other day, I'd had 4,000. I'm sure there's at least *SOME* logic in the past 2,000 posts, but good luck finding any!

You'd said this in ST. Remember how you two had said that Pedro-Curt would defeat a Yankee team lacking Andy, Rocket and Boomer? I haven't time to dig for that, but hope you'd have remembered.

Oh, the views. Yeah, sounds good. You sure you weren't just peeking in here a lot?

I see the Bahstunned crowd is already into selective memory. They were facing Jose Contreras, who gave up 4, went 7. Not great, but certainly better than 2/3 of an inning and 5 runs, many caused by sloppy fielding.

Against our best mopup guy, Brett Prinz, their best hitter, Todd Helton flied out to LF w/2 runners on to end the game.

                                THUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU YANKEES WIN!
