        • My vote for American League Most Valuable Player!
He's the Red Sox MVP, if not the AL too . . .
Ortiz continues to come through in the clutch, big time, not only the 2004 regular season, but this entire post-season.

          • Call me a sore loser, but seeing the 8th inning disintegrate like that would've made Ortiz' great hitting null. I think that Joe and the Yanks need to get back to the "kill now" mentality, since you can't give Boston a gazillion chances and hope that your pitcher can keep getting everyone out. Won't happen.

            • As a Braves fan looking on the inside on this BoSox-Yankees series I see that the Sox are like a "dead cockroach" that won't turn over and die and this series will be one to remember. Game 3,4,5 were of historic proportions. Game 3 the Yankees scored 19 runs and I knew the series was over. Game 4 and Game 5, I went to sleep and figured the Yankees won, look at the tube in the morning and the BoSox win so I have to say go BoSox!

Yeh, all the records those AL games have been setting...really boring.

                  • A 5 hour game isn't really exciting either, I fell asleep too... both nights. It's not like they're battling back against each other inning after inning, they just kept leaving runners on base and playing like they were...uht

                    uht...
                    iht..
                    zzzzzz....

                    tired, like almost everyone watching.

For me, it all depends how the game ends . . .

Seriously now. The umps, in both instances asked for help and made the correct calls . . .

                            • What a disgrace. The umpires talk to each other and determine the correct call, only to have items pelted at them? We're now having to play the rest of the game with police in riot gear lining the field.

Should there be a game 7, it should be played in Boston. New York fans have shown they are not mature enough to handle it when calls are correctly made against them. Umpires should be able to focus on making the correct calls, not fearing for their personal safety.

                              • Boy, I thought A-Rod had more class than that... he almost got away with a fast one.

Those cops just wanted to get close to the action.
