It was, until a few people up north decided to rain on my parade. We'll get 'em back this afternoon.

      • I hope not. Man, I hate the Yankees. Love the Sox.

        THERE'S your bitter rivalry.

I just registered with the site that week and I didn't see this thread at the time. And I wouldn't get too excited about the sweep of the Cards, it was in your back yard. If that series was in St. Louis, you would not have swept us. And we did go 7-5 against the AL East as you did against the NL Central, so we were pretty much even in interleague play.
          Go crazy folks. Go crazy!

You know as well as I do, especially this rivalry, in a months time the Sox could be 10 games behind. And I know 1st hand how many pieces someone will rip me into... With that said, I have to enjoy this while I can . . .

            {It's all in fun....especially now!}___

This season, the Stadium isn't the Yanks backyard..

Oh really? What makes you so sure we wouldn't have swept you?

Hey, the Yanks got no-hit at home, so, considering how poorly they'd done in June at home, I don't see how that's some giant "advantage". Had you checked Friday's and Saturday's score, it's obvious that Yankee Stadium isn't the automatic comfort zone you make it out to be.

As to 7-5 vs AL East, that's nice. Which teams? Boston, Toronto and NY mean much more than Baltimore and TB.

Instead of trying to yank someone's chain, why not just talk baseball. You may get much more respect that way, since anyone can go about getting that easy rise out of someone else. When I speak with Matt Morris (Cards board moderator here) or CardFanNV, I think there's mutual respect. Try doing this sometime. It helps.
