Any team that stops calling themselves the Highlanders in favor of the Yankees stinks. I'd rather be a Highlander than a Yankee (heck, 1/2 the country thinks of Yankee as a derogatory term)

As for the verse the RedSox thing you guys seem to be stuck on. Yankee fan check yourself you cant go back to the since 1918 thing anymore. The RedSox just won one....it's been 1/2 a decade for you guys. I know 26 total, but you didnt get any of those till after some RedSox owner wanted to make a lame musical. Before that the RedSox were the dominate ones.

Well, maybe I am just bitter, I dont think that Tigers have a rival anymore? Not a chief one anyway.

How the heck did the Tiger fans get in here? Who've they beaten? Isn't Detroit more famous for Motown, which left town about 30 years ago?

Doesn't matter, Beantown will have to prove that they can do it more than once every 86 years. The Yanks have done that quite a few times, including recently. We're not the ones who had an awful century (and a *LONG* century that was).

All the Yanks need to do is stop losing when Beantown does. We do that and we're in great shape.

Sometimes I really wonder what the whole rivalry thing is all about. Like with the Mets, you've gotta have your opponent win more than just once under crazy circumstances. If a lion and tiger were to fight, both would beat the other on different occasions. When the Yanks and Red Sox play meaningful games, the vast majority of times the Yanks win.

To me, that's the best part. Now then, RSN, hurry up and lose!
