    I think you meant to say, "I don't think so." Since you can't possibly know with 100% certainty. Which is why Ken posted "probably".

      Playing every 5th day as the battarymate for a guy who is the wildest pitcher in the game or playing every 5th game as the battarymate for a guy who will benefit from his knowlege

      You can have all your dellusions about loyalty and loving the fans, but any idiot with half a brain would choose New York over Boston.

I remember Torre saying that he didn't need or want Canseco but he got stuck with him anyway.
        Mirabelli probably would have retired rather than play in New York . . . Certainly understandable . . .

        Ken, I've been trying to find a source for NYY going after Mira this time; I've read it in a couple of posts here, but couldn't find a source....

          Red Sox reacquire Mirabelli to catch Wakefield
          * * *

          The Yankees also tried to obtain Mirabelli to keep him from returning to the Red Sox, Olney reported.

            You gotta be kidding . . .

            Put yourself in his place. I'd either retire or refuse to report.

                  Since his main thing was a lack of passed balls with the knuckler, and since San Diego had no use for that special skill, what was his purpose there?

                  As to idiots choosing NY over Beantown, might I suggest that you leave Johnny Damon out of this discussion, please?

                            Loser has to wear an av and a sig of the winners choice for a week.

                              Both? that's a lot of self-esteam and reputation on the line,but I accept.

                                That's the way we generally do things. If for a different opponent, I'm not too sure. Optional, but mandatory.

                                Since the Yanks consider both Boston and Mets games to be "premium" (whatever that means re seat prices), then that should be standard when betting against fans of those teams here.

                                Ken and I have a bet going, so it'll be avs & sigs, both PG-rated, of course.
