Odds are he probably will. After all his Baseball-Fever alias is 'chameleon' . . .

    * He loses bets and changes his avatar more often than Torre changed pitchers last night . . .

Now then, when does life begin and the Yanks beat the Sawx once again?
Maybe when your 'Big Unit' starts hitting Posadas' glove more than the back-stop . . .

Oh, yeah. 519 is a lot better than 518. I mean, that makes SO much difference. He's already got the record, why does he need another one?

What I meant was, that if he had just tweaked or something and was ready to go for the next game, that would be a little cheap.Thats all.

I actually do agree, but if he had just tweaked something, then he might have been able to stay in the game. Or, since he hadn't played in the game yet, come out and then pinch-hit or something. Is that legal?

I don't think so,because even though he didnt play in the game,he played in the game (no yogism intended)

On Thursday evening, I escape from the ugly suit I'm presently wearing. You'd think it would be Halloween when I'd worn something this ugly.

Hey, finally some NL fans in here. Where've you guys/gals been? Hiding in the "other" rivalry thread, I presume.

I see that on Fri, the Dodgers beat the Giants 6-1, on Sat, they lost 6-5, but beat the Giants again on Sun by 6-3. 2 outta 3 ain't bad, just like Meatloaf said in the famous rock anthem. He has to wear the Dodger Blue thing now?

More like certain pitchers happen to shut us down. Moose pitched a splendid game, going 7, giving up 2. Problem was that our offense depended upon scoring 2 runs tonight, which isn't going to win many games unless your guys can do the 8-inning, 1-run thing on a steady basis. Who's gonna throw a gem like that every time up? Bob Gibson would be calling, inquiring about your formula and the height of the mound.

                                Now then, now MLB rules:

Any starter who shuts down the Yanks are required by law (at least according to the Bronx faction of this) to hand over said starter by July 31st. This must especially be done prior to a series against Boston. In fact, hand over Josh Beckett while you're at it. I'm sure we'll find a bag of stale chips and a few dusty baseballs to be named later, then call it even.
