Naaah! Red is not my colour. Never was and never will. Navy blue pinstripes mean the world to me.

    • Brad (Mattingly) and I have agreed for a 1-week wager on the Mets/Yanks series which begins tomorrow... Loser must wear a team av that the other asks, and some semi-smack sig like "Amazin's are the best in baseball" or something similar for the Yanks.

2 weeks standard for a sweep.

      Let the games begin!!!:gt

Hmm, who is the current victim?? Could it be the Yankees fan that sports Red Sox as his avatar and 2 of the greatest Red Sox in Williams and Yaz in beautiful, big, bold, red letters in his sig?

Don't worry, they got lucky. It was all Randy Johnson's fault. In the future, we'll beat them Beantowners in their house and in Ruth's House.

We shall not lose at Shea to them thar Amazins. Won't happen. Delgado, Pedro (especially him), Reyes, Wright, Lo Duca and Beltran shall be shown the light. The better team is in da-da-da-da ... da Bronx, BAYBEE!

Now then, please feel free to submit, waive the white flag and give up before being trounced by the superior Evil Empire. Give up before it's too late. Last chance!

Sure, blame him for blowing BOTH games

After years of being bullied by da-da-da-Babies The Amazings are feeling the need for some fresh blood!

Just ask the NL- They are a team on the prowl this year:gt

Now then, the weather was horrendous in Manhattan this morning, wasn't any better in Joisey.

If it can clear up, we'll have a game. To find out the weather, just click on "NYC" for any weather site, or 11368, the zip code for Shea.

Either case, Mets fans, last chance to submit!

Gee, I wonder what the Mets fan will be wearing very shortly?

So much for submitting- Mo blew the game!

The Amazings come out on top in a nail biter in the 9th.

                  • I feel bad . . .
Wright hit an RBI single off Mariano Rivera with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Mets a thrilling 7-6 victory Friday night.

On a night when Yankees starter Randy Johnson struggled yet again, allowing home runs to Carlos Beltran and Xavier Nady.

Pitching not looking so good . . .

                      • Y'all members of the Peanut Gallery quiet down. Moose, unlike Randy, won't disappoint me. If anyone knows Pedro, it's the Yanks!

                        Interesting Randy tidbit:

He was there in Seattle when Don Mattingly played his only postseason game; he was there in Arizona when Paulie O'Neil played his final WS game. Now he's here again trying to prevent the Yanks from doing anything regarding the postseason. It's his plan to kill the Yanks for the 3rd time--singlehandedly!

I'll hang my head down low, both for his dismal performance (which seems all in his head, anyway, not physical) and that Gen Von Steingrabber gave him a $32m extension, far more than anyone else in their right mind would've done.

Had he done 7 innings, 3 runs, we could've won the game, even with a shaky Mo up there. :o

Already 2-0 Mets in the bottom of the first inning, both runs coming on RBI doubles by Delgado and Wright(new hero to The Amazings)

3Bman David Wright's already a hero to the Mets. There's a thread about him and SS Jose Reyes in the Mets forum.

I see that Johnny Damon will have to play deeper for him, as he'd again hit one over Damon's head for an RBI double. :o

Between trading away Posada's replacement, then giving Arizona a choice of better prospects and getting less money in return, and lower level prospects and more money, I figure that the Yanks should've realized that Arizona needed a salary dump, which is why they'd traded away Curt Schilling.

The Snakes wanted Nick Johnson and Alfonso Soriano before, but took Hillenbrand, Fossum and someone else from Beantown.

Randy was supposed to win last night's game, which he was given a very opportunity to do so last night, especially with 4 runs scored in the 1st. However, he didn't want the lead so he gave it right back.

Now I wish it were Moose who'd pitched yesterday, since we would've had a much better opportunity to win. When Lo Duca hit a double off Mo, he pretty much had no choice but to IBB Delgado last night. With 1B not being open, pe the double, Delgado seemed far more probably to get the guy home than did Wright. We took our chances, we lost.

We lose tonight, I'm out with the betting for awhile.
