Anyway, back in Montreal and fans now still hate the MARLINS because of JEFFREY LORIA, BUD SELIG' and DAVID SAMSON.

I'm not sure ''pure'' Nats fans agree, but I ain't a pure Nats fan, I am converted.

BTW, I am not talking about the people of South Florida, I am talking about teh Marlins organisation.
So you hate Willis and Cabrera and Joe Girardi?

    • A day for upsets?

Fat man Wells is scheduled to twirl for the Red Sox against the Devil Rays, who are an identical 6-4 in their last 10. Wells is looking for his first win of the season after being sidelined with a bockety knee since April 16th. In his last outing v. the B.J.s on April 12, he gave up ten hits, a walk, and seven earned runs in four innings. (15.75 era ) Might be ugly, and is he a tad bit heavier than the 248 lbs. he's listed?

Meanwhile, the 4077th M*A*S*H unit has returned to the Bronx from their latest tour of duty in RS Nation, having won 2 of 3, but still only 5-5 in their last ten. Tonight they will be facing the '62 Mets, er KC Royals who are due for a big upset, after finding new ways to lose in their 0-13 streak. Heard they may be wearing vintage '88 Orioles unis tonight.

      • I forget. Who's the worst team in the major's this season? -

        Oh ya, I remember now . . .

Going into the weekend series, Kansas City had lost 14 straight games at Yankee Stadium, dating to Aug. 6, 2002. ... The Royals had won just two games on the road all season. ... ( Make that THREE!) At 10-35, the Royals had their worst record after 45 games and fourth-worst in major league history. Yet, they won tonight . . . IN YANKEE STADIUM!

A ball hit by Kansas City Royals' Angel Berroa goes past the glove of New York Yankees' Melky Cabrera for a three-run home run during the eighth inning . . .

You came that close to beating the team with the worst record in the majors,
the Royals had won just two games on the road all season . . .

        That is, until Friday night.

        * After making just 10 errors in the first 28 games this season, the Yankees made 23 in the last 17 games!

BTW, does anyone know which team has the best fielding pct. in MLB? -

I wouldn't talk with that lovely avatar you're sporting.

Nahhhhh, it's Ken that has the lovely av. In fact, I'm in admiration of his sig line, also. He wins the real beauty contest here.

Speaking of which, is that Hank on your av? Looks somethin' like him, but not exactly.

                • Ken the Beantowner:

Now they're beating us 15-4. Their backup C is a triple shy of the cycle, is 4-for-4, two guys have 2 hits, their 2B has 3 hits. Yet the carnage continues.

After all he was the Red Sox's best pitcher almost a century ago!

Didn't Schilling recently pitch against you guys?

                              • Hey, Ken, we're getting slaughtered in here. They're trying to bat around us, and their pitcher hasn't even thrown a single pitch yet.

Man, we're gonna lose this series. :o
