{Ken}: Two hands and two feet . . . and that's just in the last couple of months!

        Exactly.
        That's why this thread continues well into it's 5th year . . .

                Bitter Rivals Post # 6000!
How befitting that on post #6,000, Li'l Ken admits that Beantown ain't got it this year.

Now then, will you be wearing a KC av, a Yankee or a white flag av after getting skunked by TB & KC? Oh, we'll have to make some smack sig fer ya also.

                • Dear Beantowners:

"Wins" against Bruce Chen by a clueless manager don't count. Today's game will now be stricken from the record.

We now return you to your regularly-scheduled loserboy season.

Just because we're totally out of it...doesn't mean that we're still not lurking around watching ya'll.

No need to be hurtful *sniff*

Keep snatching up our ex-players and remember, you're only good after you play on the O's and stink.

And with that...I'll leave you with an "O's Shall Rise Again!"

I was thinking, I sort of feel happy for ya.

I hope your getting a thrill being temporarily out of second place. -

Who is this directed to? Ken? Myself?

Anyway, how could you guys/gals get swept under the carpet by the hapless Beantowners? I mean, not even much of a fight.

Also, with all those runs allowed, why is Leo Mazzone still your pitch coach? Isn't he supposed to yield excellent results?

I don't know, but that team may need some talking to if they're going to play like that. Hopefully, they'll do better. Series like that just drive me bonkers. Hey, had to share.

Starting in April, 1st place will be all yours. Until then, please tell Beckett that he's done an excellent job tonight. I think he's scheduled against Unit on Saturday.

Now then, does he plan upon being as effective then as now? If so, then Lowell was a steal, rather than a throw-in to get Beckett.

                          • Now Matt, please remember the almighty curse of the avatar/signature bet. I know it is tempting to give those Beantowners a taste of true beauty and make them feel pretty for once but PLEASE don`t bet. After all, Power must be tempered with mercy or something like that and more importantly DON`T JINX THEM IN THE 5 GAME SET.

Gotcha. At the same time, I've gotta still give 'em the daily news report. I call it givin' 'em the *BIZ-NIZ*, Bronx style.

Now lemme check into the photo archives and see what I get. Any smackey-poo to be laid down a little thick tonight? Hmmmmmmmmmmm ... well looky here!

Manny Ramírez made an ill-advised attempt to score in the eighth, getting
tagged out by Vance Wilson to put an end to the Sox’ threat. (Globe Staff Photo /
                              Jim Davis)

Craig Monroe (left) and Josh Beckett get up after
sliding into home following a wild pitch in the first.
Monroe got his foot in under Beckett's tag.
