It would be funny to see Damon striking out against Matsuzaka every time he bats, if he pitches on my birthday (April 21). Johnny Damon is hated by every Red Sox fan in Fenway Park, and there's a VERY good reason why. If the internet was as common as it was 13-14 years ago, I'd be posting the same thing about Wade Boggs when he left Boston to "defect" to the Yankees. Of course Boggs was booed.

Spring Training '93. I'm living in Lauderdale where THEY train. Sox come in for a ST game. Stands along the 3B line at Ft. Lauderdale Stadium PACKED with Sox fans. We all give it to Boggs. Mo Vaughn pops up to 3rd. For some reason Boggs backs away; Andy Stankiewicz has to run in from SS to catch it. I yell "GEE WADE, MARGO ADAMS COULDA CAUGHT THAT ONE, YOU TRAITOR!'
