A Bears fan in Colts country
Originally posted by Cubsfan97No way, the Patriots are the Yankees of the NFL. Yankees and Patriots both were deemed Dynasties, Brady would perfectly resemble Jeter, Bellicheck can be Torre. The Colts are the like the Red Sox, make it to the AFC Championship so many times to lose to their arch nemesis, the Patriots and finally the team everyone wants to win, wins, in one of the biggest ways,k being down 21-6 at half and being as far down as 18. Somewhat like the '04 ALCS.
I've been a fan of the Bears since the days of Papa Bear Halas (a former NY Yankee), Jack Concannon (who was traded from the Eagles for Mike Neanderthal Ditka!), Gale Sayers, Dick Butkus, Brian Piccolo, and coaches Dooley and Gibron. As a side note, slo-mo Concannon was the first round pick of the AFL Boston Patriots, but opted for the NFL. I still remember the Patriots having the best iron man in the AFL: QB Gino Cappelletti who played in all 140 games for the Pats during their AFL existence.
Everyone around here is Colts crazy, but I haven't been a fan of theirs since they snuck out of Baltimore in their infamous midnight Mayflower move.:grouchy For the last week I've been wearing my Chicago Bears jacket to work, and have been greeted with mostly "Go Bears, Da Bears, etc." although I have had a few snowballs hurled in my general direction. I'd rather watch the Caribbean Winter League series than the not-so Super Bowl, but I am looking forward to the always creative advertising.

I will cause any trouble to those that want the Red Sox to finish in third place. Here are the following consequences to the Yankees, should they wish the Red Sox finish in 3rd and they finish 1st:
* Derek Jeter getting traded to Washington for Cristian Guzman.
* Mariano Rivera disappears from the Yankees to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
* Jason Giambi heads to Kansas City by being claimed on waivers.
* Melky Cabrera is in a...Cincinnati Reds uniform because they wanted Adam Dunn.
Basically, Cashman needs to remove the deadweights on the team so they don't get like 100 people playing one position. Giambi isn't going to do much anymore.
