  • Joel Pineiro won't be our closer, and don't you DARE make Schilling the closer again, Terry Francona. :angry Any Red Sox fans remember the nightmares he caused as a closer? He's a STARTER, not a CLOSER.

P.S. Remember Mariano Rivera in the playoffs in 2001 and 2004? I sure do.

Here are what has happened to Red Sox after then:

2005- failure to repeat: well, no team has repeated after 2001, so I wouldn't make it matter a lot about that...

Fork on Foulke: Remember Johnny Burger King?

Damon goes to Yankees in December: Ends up being good despite nagging foot aches last year with 25 HR's and he still can steal bases. lol Crisp.

            2006-

Dismal record against AL teams: if you take out their 16-1 record VS NL teams in interleague, you won't be happy

            The Boston Massacre Part Deux:

Upper pictures explains a lot. lol Sox bullpen. Since 2004, they still cannot get a good closer...

3rd place Sox: With the 2nd highest payroll in MLB next to Yankees.

"Blackbird sings in the dead of night..."

            Anibal House:

While Beckett still gets standing ovation after allowing 9ER in 5 IP against Yanks

It has been loooong time since 2004, guys. You have to accept the music and it's time to move on. Of course being in 3rd place for y'all was MORE RECENT THAN 2004... HOW ABOUT THAT SENSE OF HOW THE TIME GOES....

                  • I'm not sure if its kosher to post anything other than Yankees vs Red Sox, but boy do I dislike the White Sox. Detroit doesn't really bother me because they have other things to worry about (one of the fattest cities in the US, Most STD's in the US).

The White Sox - Twins rivalry is great, except the ChiTown Sox fans usually lack class. I think the best part was last season around july when the Twins were still "written off." The Twins swept the Sox at US Cellular.

My favorite memory of the rivalry was beating the white sox to win the central on the last day of the season to make it 4 Division Titles in 5 years. I was in attendance and it was probably the best atmosphere i've been to in a while, pretty much the entire crowd stayed after a 5-1 beating of the sox to watch the Tigers choke against the Royals to give us the Central.

That and Torii Hunter just demolishing Burke at home 2 years ago (i think).

                    GO TWINS!

                          • Yankees sign new pitcher, may become #2 man in rotation

The new Yankee's offseason acquisition, simply known as "Pitcher" poses on the Mound during spring training on friday.

The New York Yankees, not to be outdone by the Red Soxs signing of Daisuke Matsuzaka, signed a new, previously unknown free agent, simply known as "The Pitcher" to a 1 year, 62.8 Million dollar contract Friday. " I think this guy has the potential to be key in our rotation this year." Steinbrenner stated, sweating as he quickly walked from the luxury box to the playing field during workouts, “With the weakness of our rotation this year, any stats he could put up could really, really help us." The "Pitcher" and his agent, Scott Boris, refused to speak to the press after his workout session Friday. The "Pitcher" previously worked in the Yankees clubhouse, and before that apparently worked for some type of liquid distribution company. "Me and the pitcher have been close for a long time" Alex Rodriquez said, while using the exercise bike in the clubhouse at Legends Field Saturday. "Do we get drinks together every day like we used to? No. But he's a good friend, he helps cool be down when things with the press or on the field get a little hot."

                            • Back to reality:

Red Sox spend 70 million bananas on player who need treatment like this:

The gadgets he's turned to include a cosmonaut-tested healing device, a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, an infrared sauna, chips implanted in his cell phones and computers to limit radiation damage, and a myriad of other health-oriented products that promise better overall health.

The most noticeable piece of Drew's wellness equipment, which come at a price tag in the thousands, is a device known as QRS or Quantron Resonance System.

The QRS is a mat, a pen-shaped rod and a control panel. It hasn't been sanctioned by the Food and Drug Administration in the United States for medical usage, but can be imported from Europe, where it is widely used by the mainstream medical community.

By simple exposure of the body to QRS, pulsating low frequency magnetic fields stimulate cell metabolism, increase oxygen assimilation and accelerate the removal of toxic chemicals and waste. Pulsating electromagnetic fields can fully penetrate the body and reinforce weak functional cycles in a natural way. This allows the body to recover its self-healing capabilities."

                              • You know, in 2004, I was a Red Sox fan, then Yankees, but the Sox just go so annoying after that. Their heads started swelling up, egos grew to big, then there is the whole Manny thing, and now you guys go spending 100 million on Matsuzaka, its just gotten so annoying that my list now is Yankees....7 teams.....Red Sox. Of course, my Cubbies still hold the throne, and forever will.
