    8 to 10 games!

I voted 20. For what that man is being paid I expect 99.9% outs. I expect complete games. I expect pitching both games of a doubleheader. 8 to 10. Don't you wish.

I think if the starters keep their ERAs below 4.00 (even low 4.00s should be ok), the offense will put up enough runs to win lots of games. We'll see this offensive juggernaut help cover up for an unstable bullpen, too.

So having said that, I think any starter for the Red Sox is certainly capable of 14 wins...17 or more wins may take a better pitching performance than just "adequate".
Papelbon ok? Papelbon is another Clemens. You haven't had the advantage of seeing him pitch live...

      • Why is there a poll on this thread that will become useless in around May? Can they be removed and replaced with other polls?

Hmmmmmm. Let's see how low we can go. Please find Beantown on this map (ST standings).

New name for Beantown: Basement Bertha!

          Ahhhhhhhhh, that felt good.

I have no idea who put a poll in there specific to one team and player. I've removed the poll results, but don't know how to remove the poll itself. Weird.

            The *censored*???

            Ranked 7th by BA

            Ranked 4th by BP

Ranked 6th by Keith Law of ESPN

            And

Research more. It's more like Red Sox losing more since they have less farm system and less depth of MLB team

Eh, "experts," what do they know? How can I be afraid of a team named the "Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees?"
Oh, they are scarier than all other Red Sox minor league system teams...

            • But guess which team stakes a claim to BA's NUMBER ONE prospect?

BTW, ST means absolutely nothing. Or maybe the Orioles will win the AL East this year. I'd much rather have the second. Might take some of the sense of entitlement away from the Yankees and Red Sox fans.

I thought it was Scranton Will-Bare > (Insert changed spelling of Scranton here.)

They said they might go with Scranton Wilkes-Barre Trade Baiters , but it was a little too big to fit on the front of the jerseys.

I've been away too long. May the Red Sox win, may neither team have any injuries. May the Yankees stay on the field, not in the stands. (I was there.) May I see more HR from Tek. (I saw the first.) May I see a Y bench coach charge DiceK. ( I was there, too.) May I see a new kid lights out closer. (Yep, was there when JP pitched Fenway for the first time.) I don't get to many games, but things happen.

Hmmm, what does that make the great Phillip Hughes? I suppose Pete Alexander or Walter Johnson (Unquestionably the two greatest pitchers of all-time).

When a Cubs fan asked God about the next time Cubs will win the pennant, God answered- "Not in your life"

When a Pittsburgh fan and his new-born daughter asked God about the next time Pirates will win the World Series, God answered- "Not in your daughter's life"

When a Red Sox fan and his whole family asked God about the next time Red Sox will win the division, God answered- "Not in my life"

And how did a Yankee's fan hear about this? They never talk to God much anyways, usually this guy:

And yes, given to how Sox fans are 'passionate' to their team, it's more like they pray the satan. Unclassy fans
