And yes, given to how Sox fans are 'passionate' to their team, it's more like they pray the satan. Unclassy fans
If we prayed to Satan, we might have 20 something world series like someone...

So how fearsome are the PawSox?

May the mighty Kevin Thompson, Bronson Sardinha, Kevin Reese and many others come down and beat Beantown. Now if only we could find a way to beat Schill and Dice-K on the same day!

You mean in a Simpsons episode featuring a very tall & grumpy left-hander sporting a funky hair-do? Hmmmmmmm, I'm not too sure. Can I get back to you on that one?

It's a November 2004 joke actually. Hint: when's the *NEXT* time Beantown will win.

As I am non-religious, I am willing to agree with Nietzsche.

But regarding the last sentence of this joke, I better start to believe.

                    • Yeah, yeah, yeah...brag all you want, Yankees fans!

The Red Sox shouldn't have problems this year, but the team that will struggle this year will be my Cardinals, unfortunately. Just because one team gets off to a good Spring Training start, doesn't mean anything in the regular season. (which means you, Yankees fans. Have fun with Jason "low batting average and a double play candidate" Giambi for two years!) *cackles*

Nietzsche meant that God (aka religious faith and morals) are dead...he is simply saying that people are relying less and less on God.

                        • Well, one thing is dead for sure, and that is the Yankees' constant, yet hopeless, quest for a World Series ring. Do you guys want one? Well, wait 79 more years. THEN you'll get it as a reward of hogging the World Series ring. Baltimore hasn't seen a World Series since 1983, and hopefully this can change soon as soon as Peter Angelos gives the ownership to someone that can help turn the losing ways of Baltimore to winning ways.

                              • Well, unfortunately, that was one measly "victory" over the Empire. The first real victory is either a series win or sweep at good old Fenway Park - or even worse, at Yankee Stadium.
