  • Hey, how's Kei Igawa doing today? I heard that he gave up 5 runs in two innings...and this isn't Curt Schilling we're talking about. : His pitches are everywhere, and someone get Ron Guidry before he evolves into Hideki Irabu.

I thought Kei was supposed to be a great pitcher from Japan, but looks like the Yankees got Hideki Irabu II! Just look at him, and I think Yankee Stadium is booing at him.

    Edit: 7-2 O's.

Maybe Ron Guidry can step in to save the game...

First time I heard it, I thought they were talking about raunchy comedian, Andrew Dice Clay. I prefer Mats or something. Couldn't they give him a better nickname? At least Hideki Matsui is called "Godzilla", my all-time favorite monster.

Geeeeee, I wonder if Alex Rodriguez had a good day today? Hmmmmmmmm.

        • Bah, Red Sox lost and Yankees won. It's another suffering day in Beantown, and eventually the Yankees will win the crown by some random act of Steinbrenner.

Bad news: Hideki Matsui injured his leg again. I hope it's nowhere near as bad as last year, and I hope he can avoid injuring his leg, because it was against the Red Sox he injured his leg at home. Get well soon Godzilla!

          • Booo white sox, The good news is that Carlos Silva looked like his 2005 self, which is great news for the iffy Twins rotation... Santana tomorrow in the cold, lets see how that goes.

Don't forget, we Yankee fans will be personally responsible for said Yankee WS wins!

Very classy statement indeed. Many thanks.

                • Hmmmmmmm, was that hit late? Yes. Was it a game-winning hit? Yes. Did it come on 2 outs, 9th inning? Yes it did. Were there 2 strikes? Yup.

When will David Ortiz do anything so dramatic? Ahhhhhhhh, sometime around August or September at best.

                  Yankees win. THUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU Yankees win!

                    How was Kei Igawa, btw?
                    5 IP, 8 H, 7 ER, 3 BB, 2K

                    As opposed to:
                    7 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 10K

Don't worry, Yankees' starters have been so successful the past few years...He'll turn it around!
And the Red Sox walk-off with the win!

Ahhhhhhhhh, another wayward Beantowner by way of itty bitty Rhode Island. Sad how many fantasizers there are in NE.

                      Please repeat after me:

                      3rd place is good
                      Winning the division is bad
Let's hope that we can beat Baltimore for 4th place
Can't wait until 2090 gets here
One day we'll win ... some day ...

We keep on winning the division
But come up short for the past six years
Let's hope Boston can get 1st place for the first time since 1995
Can't wait until D-Mat gets RoY, Cy Young and the Triple Crown
2004 wasn't so long ago, we'll probably win again while the Yankees devolve into the Buffalo Bills.

                        • How soon until June gets here? We need a swoon.

Yeah, I know, cheesy as a wine & cheese thing made with Ritz crackers, some Velveeta and a $3 bottle of jug wine. Then again, consider the source!

Oh yeah, something about you I can't understand. You're in St Louis, I'd thought you were a Cards fan from a previous av, you're supporting Boston, and your user text says 1993 champs, when the Blue Jays won it all in 1992 & '93. How many teams do you favor?

But it's OK! Repeat after the therapist: This is your year.

And about Rhode Island: To get across the state, sometimes you have to drive FORTY minutes! FORTY! If you drive through the whole length of I-95, it might take SIXTY!
And the Red Sox walk-off with the win!
