This leave Mo unavailable until Sunday.

Note to y'all Beantowners: y'all got lucky and that's about it.
Would have loved to have heard Steinbrenner's post-game tirade...

    • Well, a win is a win, and a loss is a loss. Sorry Yankee fans, you'll have to see how Round 2 unfolds at 4PM today.

P.S. They should've intentionally walked A-Rod his last at-bat. Kevin Thompson's probably headed back to Scranton after what happened. Today, we have Josh Beckett pitching against someone, but who?

Then tomorrow night, the series folds up with rookie southpaw Chase Wright vs. D-Mat! Say your prayers, as he'll K you down! *evil face* Well, you get the idea, he'll probably "K" the traitor that sounds something like "Johnny David Damon." So what do you say? Cower in fear?

Maybe he will let A-Rod see his 2004 World Series Ring.

Jeter has a lot of rings, but he hasn't won one since the real team leaders retired.

I bet a verbal ass-whipping from Steinbrenner will unnerve him even more.

WE know The Boss hates to lose...especially to The Sox

Had it been anybody else but Rivera, Steinbrenner would have shipped him out to Scranton before the last out. The name Kenny Clay bring back any long memories?

                    • What's the matter, Yankee fans? Did you give up already, or are you waiting to be embarrassed by the national viewers tomorrow night on ESPN? Jon Miller and Joe Morgan are watching every second of this drama fold when they broadcast this game, so whoever wins, whoever wins.

By the way, before you start bugging me, I am NOT a bandwagon Red Sox fan. I have liked them since 1993, back when Roger Clemens, Scott Cooper, John Valentin, Mo-V and Jeff Russell were with the team. Seeing both Roger Clemens and Jim Key being the starter of the Sox and Yankees that year (1993) was just about as epic as Game 7 of the 2004 ALCS. Take a guess what happened that night?

                      • I'd guess they may be too embarrassed to show up.

Wonder what shade of purple Steinbrenner's face turned...

And did Karstens get exiled to Scranton before the 7th inning started?

                          • Song for Yfans

Sung to the tune "Hokey Pokey"

Ya put ya Yankee pitcher in
Ya put ya Yankee pitcher out
Ya put ya Yankee pitcher in
and ya hit 'em all about
                            Ya sit that pitcher down
                            Ya bring another one in
                            THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!

Repeat until you run out of pitchers, or until the game ends.

I heard MeinK offered to catch.

Should we spot them two pitchers and a catcher? Naw....if that is all the catching backup Ys have, someone did a bad job spending money.

Hey Bosox fans, remember what you preach to the Yankee fans when they talk about all the past pennants and World Series they won.......your words, "thats all in the past". So what do the Bosox fans harp on 2004..... I have news for you 2004 is also in the past. every winner has bragging rights for the one year they won it all in until the next team wins it all, after that it's all in the past.

Speaking of the past......one big one over 86 years, talk about a dry spell.
