2003 Prediction: Boston and Seattle console each other after Yanks beat Seattle in ALDS and then sweep WC winner Boston in ALCS.
I think the Mariners are still waiting for that game six.

And your prediction is good but a bit off. The Yanks understand that the ALCS might as well be the World Series for Boston. To put the Sox in a familiar situation, they'll be kind enough to wait until the seventh game to break New England's collective heart.

Hehe, would I be so cruel?... Well yes.

I'll put it this way Ken, did your son ever watch 'Pinky and the Brain'?

I feel like someone tied me up and I'm in a zoot suit. Trust me, next Monday can't get here soon enough. I didn't say what time on next Monday, so I could conceivably wait until the stroke of midnight. Then I could remove that stuff Ken gave me.

Too bad you didn't let me just use a picture of Teddy, since I might've been able to find one small enough to work. You're right, that sig is the killer. I'm wondering if this is my last breath. Aack!

I still can't get over Sweet Lou's promise that "We're going to bring this thing back to Seattle" right after we swept them at home.

Unfortunately, I was at the game where we lost 14-3 (Mike Stanton's bad throw to 3B opened up the floodgates), but the one where we'd won 12-3, I kept yelling at my TV "MORE RUNS, MORE RUNS!"

Regardless, the damage done made up for when they'd smacked our guys around, sent Sweet Lou packing. And yes, he does hate losing to the Yankees.

You know what the best part is Mattingly? Monday you get to go back to your Yankee colors, and then one week from then, you'll be wearing the same colors as the Mariner Moose! Won't it be just grand?

              • Pardon my ignorance, but who's the Mariner Moose? Mascot perhaps?

Anyway, we've got tons of Starbucks around NYC, but I'll never become a latte boy. I may be calling you "Frappuchino" pretty soon after we slam the doors shut on the deep freeze!

Haha. Frappuchino, that's a riot Mattingly. And the Mariner Moose is probably the most famous baseball mascot (if not, second to Mr Met). He became famous after he broke his leg.

True, but how many of them have caused Randy Johnson to commit a balk?

My favorite of all was the San Diego Chicken from about 20 or 25 years ago. I think that was one of the original ones, and they all became smilie-faced cartoonish characters afterwards.

Did Unit commit a balk as a Mariner or a Diamondback? When?

Seriously tho, please see my earlier post about Donnie and Jay, since I didn't think that Jay really outhit Donnie in the 95 ALDS.

                          • Unit commited a balk as a Mariner, when the Moose tossed a bag of peanuts on to the field. It was on April 15th, 1991.

As for Jay and Don, I don't care what you think about it, that's what you'll wear.

Cold blooded, cold blooded, cold blooded. You related to a gator or a crocodile?

Good thing Randy didn't go face-to-face with the Moose, or that mug woulda scared the bejeezus out of anybody. Talk about a mug only a mother could love, and even she could be lying.

In that case, I'll have to think of something you'll just *love* wearing by then. Wasn't it too bad that Sweet Lou couldn't "bring it back to Seattle" like he said he would? Awwwwwww, widdle baby, don't cry!

I'll bash ... uhmmmm, speak to you tomorrow.

Okay Mattingly, Okay. As for Sweet Lou, I prefer Mr. Melvin, who's gonna win the M's their first WS ring this year.

                                I'll bash you tomorrow too.
