They did pretty bad w/o my betting. Seemed like an absolutely ugly game where runs were just given away. Whatever happened to the days where each team would have to struggle and use strategy just to score a run or two?

Mo leaving with the bases loaded, 1 out? Andy giving the runs right back. Mient is killing the lineup and and after the 4th inning, not only single run. Oh boy! :o

How long you think it will be until Donnie Baseball replaces Torre?

To me, it's between Don Mattingly and Joe Girardi. I'd prefer Girardi, since he actually did something with his team. I love Donnie the player, but I'm unsure of his managerial capabilities.

Torre's demeanor is nice & calming, but between the bench coach (Donnie) and the pitch coach (Ron "Louisiana Lightning" Guidry), someone's gotta come out there and tell Chase Wright that he was getting those pitches sky high (and thus far they traveled as such). Can't groove stuff that high and get away with it, especially when you're a rook. If Chase kept away from those longballs, he could've lasted 6 innings, at least to me.

You never know, since Willie Randolph had been so much like "furniture" around the house, it's as if he was the first one you'd look for during a Yankee game, whether playing or coaching. Despite getting tepid response when he'd interviewed, it seemed he's doing quite well with the cross-town Mets (Willie's a Brooklynite, so that helps).

The Yanks need to do what Epstein's been doing. He'd gotten Hideki Okajima and Brendan Donnelly over the winter. I don't think you can discount those types of signings.

Kei Igawa may not be effective until June or July, and Moose has to step it up right now. Sometimes I keep thinking we should've gotten Schilling when he was offered to us, despite the Snakes' demand for Nicky Johnson and Soriano. If the price could've been lowered, I wouldn't have minded this.

Right now, I'm hoping to just win at least 1 of this weekend's games. Losing 2 of 3 wouldn't be totally bad, but winning on Saturday would certainly help. This thing of the SPs not going past 5 innings, leading to the overworked pen, makes me wonder if we have SPs or longmen in the rotation. Not a very good scenario for Yankee fans is all I'll say.

                    Joey Pitbull

How long until he beats the crap out a player like he did with Scott Olsen?

How long until he clashes with King George like he did with Loria that day in St. Louis.

Joey Pitbull was not liked by his players in Florida. His USMC DI demeanor made him enemies in the Marlins locker room. Notice how many Marlins grew facial hair after Fredi Gonzalez lifted Girardi's ban?

Besides, Joey Pitbull is secretly hoping Piniella has a meltdown in Wrigley since he openly said that was his dream job (Remember he was STILL the Marlins manager at the time). You think Steinbrenner is going to hire a guy whose mind is gonna be in the Cubs dugout?

He could always bring Bucky Dent back for another go-round....

If Steinbrenner hasn't fired Torre for his in-game decisions than he's not going to complain about Girardi

                              Ken...

Who's got the sale on flashlights for the Yankees? K-Mart? Wal-Mart? Target?

Here's a topical analogy...Yankees are falling faster than Brady Quinn's stock in the NFL draft...
