  • As my Dad would say, "fiddle."

I doubt his action was premeditated; I bet he feels pretty stupid about it now. He's a decent person; he was just angry and frustrated and felt that the strike call was wrong -- which it was. I'm not saying he should have thrown his gear; he shouldn't have, of course. But I can understand it. (Very much so, since I threw my pencil at the TV.)

Oh -- and about Donnelly getting the same "strike" called -- he shouldn't have, either. Pitches out of the zone should be called balls, no matter who's throwing them.

Funny, I spiked the closest magazine into the ground. I guess I would of been ejected too.

Just remind them of recent history

              2001: Diamondbacks
              2002: Angels
              2003: Marlins
              2004:
              2005: Angels
              2006: Tigers

Nope, you call that smart shopping with the biggest bag of cash in the sport...year after year after year after year...
It's good to see the 2007 Yankee$ look set to relieve the 1998 Orioles of the "worst performance by the league's highest payroll team" title. I've been waiting for your lot to all get old at once for several years now. Looks like it might finally be happening...
Now you may have to trade all those young arms you duped the D-backs and Tigers out of last winter just to get five servicable starters for this season.

                • A question for the Yankee$ fans

                  When your rotation consists of:
                  Old Guy
                  Chronically Injured Guy
                  Other Old Guy
                  Second Year Phenom Guy
                  and
                  Unproven Japanese Guy...
And you drink from the endle$$ river of ca$h that runs through the Bronx...
How on earth do you not have five or six extra starters stashed at AAA for when the inevitable happens?
Still think Ca$hman is the best GM in baseball???

                      • SDL, the Cardinals won the 2006 WS, not the Tigers. And the White Sox won in 2005.

Oh, I see, those are the teams that eliminated the Yankees.

Yup. But I heard that he has a lot on his mind lately. His brother having a kidney transplant. The kidney donated by his daughter.

So his job is his least concern at the moment.

So you see that this game is all relative.

(so far the serious note... )

I know that Frank had a heart transplant years ago. The kidney transplant is news to me.
