as a "complete no class jerk", there are a lot playing many sports. ARod interfering with a play, ARod having to be stopped by Tek to prevent him from going after a pitcher. How about those players in the bullpen that ganged up, got a man face down on the ground, and used their cleats on his back? (I was there.) Or Sheffield, ready to go into the stands, but a very quick security guard was there to prevent it? (I was there, too, with a very good view.)

We could continue this for days. First of all, this is not the thread for this. Secondly, if you are going to label one temper tantrum that risked no one, as "a complete no class jerk" , there are many of those around.

I listed the examples to show you that your sample size of one plus one is not valid. Very surprised at your anger and why you posted here.

So you see that this game is all relative.

(so far the serious note... )
That's horrible, the poor man. No wonder he looks so tired. Do you have a link? They are ripping Torre apart in the 2007 game thread.

Thank you. Only been watching the game 48 years.

I don't think I need your examples to spot a no class jerk when I see one.

Weak examples at that. "I was there " like that holds water with me.

            • Old Sweater...this thread is for light-hearted banter. It's not for heavy, biting smacktalk. If you can't find any fun in the rivalry, please don't post here.

              • It's all good. Most of the time, I even laugh at the shots taken at the Sox.

Isn't 2004 in the past. The way I look at it the only team with bragging rights is the team that won the last WS.

That's ok. I'd be mad and trying to pick on one thing like that if BOTH of my favorite teams were in last place too. :applaud:

Did you guys here the news? In the wake of this devastating first month for the Yankees, Steinbrenner has signed a new pitcher and he just might get the start on Tuesday:

Of course, he can't pitch night games because his parents want him in bed by 10:00pm.
"I believe in the Church of Baseball. I tried all the major religions and most of the minor ones. I've worshipped Buddha, Allah, Brahma, Vishnu, Siva, trees, mushrooms and Isadora Duncan. I know things. For instance, there are 108 beads in a Catholic rosary and there are 108 stitches in a baseball. When I learned that, I gave Jesus a chance." ~Ron Shelton, from Bull Durham
