      • Now, isn't he the fourth Boston player to hit two grand slams in one game? I think we all remember the last Red Sock to do it without mentioning his name, or the team he did it against.

I remember that game too. It was horrible. But it wasn't all that bad. We could've lost to the Yankees.

            • sox-yanks

sox pickup Williamson, who the Yanks coveted.
Yanks dump Mondesi cuz he's going awol on the team when the mgr pinch-hits for him.

              it's all good !!

gotta love what theo has done to our bullpen - it's gone from one of the worst to one of the best!

              Kim, Williamson, Sauerbeck,
              Timlin, Embree, Jones, Fossum

All we need is another strong starter and look out! With our lineup and that bullpen, we should be really tough.

Sox Mgt is clearly going for it - and in a way that's way more intelligent than the typical sox mgt moves of the past - time to sit up and take notice - this could be the year - at long last!!!

              Williamson is a KILLER pickup!

              • 4 Red Sox players out of twelve people overall have hit two grand slams in one day. They are:

                Jim Tabor
                Rudy York
                Nomah Gahciapaira
                "Little" Billy Mueller

Interesting side note, the only pitcher to ever hit two grand slams in one day was Tony Cloninger, the current Red Sox Pitching coach (on sick leave)

                • Like I said, I'm still a little sore from when this guy did it.

Really? I thought this guy was your favorite Mattingly.

                        What can I say? I guess Mattingly's right, I'm cold-blooded.

Give Mattingly a break, will ya?

The poor guy just came out of the closet and admitted he's a BIG RED SOX FAN....and I quote: "Even I agree, The Red Sox will win it all in 2003!"
He's a brave young man and I'm sure eventually he'll come to love Wally too.
So give the metamorphosis a chance to take, ok?

Okay Ken, I apologize. I will let Mattingly have as long it takes to fall in love with Wally.

I doubt any of us will live that long.
