Don't be silly, everybody knows 2004 is just a myth, like bigfoot.

    • I met some fishermen...

some ole mariners, ya know...from the west coast. They asked for some tips about fishing on the east coast. I gave them some of the pinstriped worms. The first cast, a nice haddock, perfect for fish chowda. It was very strange, a number of blue crabs went after the pinstriped worms, they were hissing and hissing. Seemed angry at the worms...such strange behavior.

The mariners totally enjoyed the fishing. I made sure they have plenty of pinstriped worms, they are fishing tomorrow. They'll let me know how they do.

I thought that the Red Sox were the only team with some relation with a sinking ship...

          • Meanwhile, at Yankee Stadium:

Old Yankee fan:...And see that guy standing on the hill of dirt in the middle of all the action? He's called a pitcher.
Young Yankee fan: And he's on the batter's team, right?
            Old Yankee fan: No, why?
Young Yankee fan: Then why is throwing it so the batter can hit it?

            • Blast from the past...

Who was that hotshot prospect the Yankees snagged from the METS in the 64 Rule V draft?

Danged if I can remember who it was...

              Oh yeah...this guy...

He'd be a perfect member of the '07 Yankees...

Funny that ship has lots of RED on it. Gee, I wonder why it's sinking so badly? Who's that on deck? Cap'n Ken with the 10-foot "C" on his chest? Or young Matey 2nd Class Williamsburgh (who's also a part-time space cadet)? Going down with the ship must be better than walking the plank, right?

Anyway, here's the real sinking ship, so feel free to repeat history or abandon ship:

Aww geez...you HAD to remind me of three hours of my life I'll never get back!

Wife drags me to it...stuck in section of preteen girls who are drooling over DiCaprio...despite that, I managed to fall asleep somewhere within the first hour.

Movie mercifully ends..I wake up as credits roll...on way out of the theatre, I say to people waiting to get in "Boat sinks; people die." Wife elbows me in ribs.

Of course when it comes out on video, she's at the video store for the midnight sale date....

                  Sorry for going OT here

I'm sorry, that's the wrong team you're referring to. I think you mean the Yankees are sinking in the basement, and have no intention of improving. Bean really got BEANed last night, and who may be given the second pink slip? Tor(r)e (up)?

I think it's time for someone to walk el planko, for Cinco de Mayo!

OH, by the way...how did Yankees "prospect" Kei Igawa do last night against the M's, I wonder? :silent:

                      • Since when is a Japanese player a prospect? Did we get him from the farm in Scranton or from a Japanese team?

Anywayz, here's Ken's fave pic, fresh from his updated photo album:

You can have him if you want him. Just send us Paps and Ortiz and we'll consider it a fair trade.

                        • Tom F'n Brady has admitted in interviews that he will wear another team's cap in other areas when he is out in an attempt to remain unnoticed. He wants to blend in with all the other morons. Smart move. He really doesn't want to be mugged or his girl get attacked on the streets of NYC.

I heard he was going to buy a Mets cap but they were all sold out. :cap:

                          • Pinstriped Worms..

The pinstriped worms are looking funny. They have kinks,a lot of scars. They seem to be getting younger, too. Younger ones seem to be nervous, but it makes them great bait. 'Ole mariners are going fishing again today. They are going to try for a bluefish. I think bluefish are oily, but hope they land a big one.

He's just smart. If he wore the cap of the team in first place, he'd probably get mugged . . .

BA considers Matsuzaka a prospect... in fact, he was #1 on the preseason prospects list. Igawa should count too. I disagree 100% with this, but that's how they do it.
