If so, at least WE had the fun to see our rival in the CELLAR.

            • Geez...I'm out all afternoon and evening at a wedding (not mine; I was the sacrificial lamb in '99) and you'd think I'd see SOMETHING about the Sox being victorious.

              Nothing.

              So, here goes...

I'm gonna tell you a story
I'm gonna tell you about my town
I'm gonna tell you a big bad story, baby
Aww, it's all about my town
              Yeah, down by the river
Down by the banks of the river Charles
              (aw, that's what's happenin' baby)
              That's where you'll find me
Along with lovers, muggers, and thieves
              (aw, but they're cool people)
Well I love that dirty water
              Oh, Boston, you're my home
(oh, you're the Number One place)
              Frustrated women
              (I mean they're frustrated)
Have to be in by twelve o'clock
              (oh, that's a shame)
But I'm wishin' and a-hopin, oh
That just once those doors weren't locked
(I like to save time for my baby to walk around)
Well I love that dirty water
              Oh, Boston, you're my home
              (oh, yeah)
Because I love that dirty water
Oh, oh, Boston, you're my home
              (oh, yeah)
Well, I love that dirty water
              (I love it, baby)
              I love that dirty water
              (I love Baw-stun)
              I love that dirty water
(Have you heard about the Strangler?)
              I love that dirty water
(I'm the man, I'm the man)
              I love that dirty water
              (Owww!)
              I love that dirty water
              (Come on, come on)

I hope that the wedding was more entertaining than the game...

About that song/poem, it is not as funny as the lyrics of the theme song of Frasier in my post... But of course, Red Sox fans are not funny at all (in general).

You didn't miss a thing. Absolutely a boring game... The Red Sox did not deserve to win. Beckett stunk, but was helped by the umpire and Manny must have corked his bat.

And no, I am not biased.

Au contraire...if the Sox defeat the Yankees, then it cannot be a boring game...

When Sox/Yankees are bumped by Nascar in the late innings in a tight game...yeah, I'd call that boring.

I've been suspicious of Manny and bat corking since his days in Cleveland. He's the only Red Sox player I don't like. Why? His attitude, and his antagonizing behavior gets on everyone's nerves. How does he do that? Well, arguing calls, going in batting slumps mysteriously and missing out on key games for reasons unknown.

But remember, 8:00 PM tonight is doomsday time for you Yankees fans. Why is that? Because you're on national TV and you tend to get episodes of stage fright. May Games 4-7 of the 2004 ALCS ring a bell?

A big fuzz about nothing. This is only a competition game. If they lose, so what. Then there will be still 150 to go.

I couldn't understand that one either. A few of my buddies and I were watching, then suddenly we're told that we have to switch to FX. Everyone asked, "What the heck is FX?" Someone pulled out the station guide, but why when it's on a 2-2 count, 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th? Anyway, I can't figure out why Robinson Cano swung at ball 4.

Now then, with the Beantown jersey having been found, and since the offender is male, then CB is off the hook. However, where is Ken?

About Ken, I think the other contraction workers put him in a crate and poured some concrete over him. So now the curse is not even reversed, but we also have our lucky charm now.
