Who would you say is the Rays #1 rival. Personally, I'd think it'd have to be either the Marlins (for obvious reasons) or the Yankees (NYY training complex is in Tampa).

My point is that, until the Rays came along, Tampa was the Yankees town. I'm inclined to believe that may cause some rivalry for the affections of the locals. However, the team in Miami has won TWO WORLD SERIES TITLES while the Rays have yet to win one. It's is reasonable to expect that these two teams compete for the affections of the state's baseball fans. That said, I did not preclude an alternative answer. I just wanted to hear the perspective on this topic from a Rays fan.
