Somebody remind Captain Derek that his farewell tour doesn't start for another few months. I can't imagine why he thought it began during a ballgame and he should start it by strolling down the left field line. The appropriate dig would have been, "Hey Jeter! You're missing a good ballgame!!"

Last week, Seattle's Seagar hit a blooper down the left field line that Gardner and Jeter couldn't catch. Jeter said he thought it was a foul ball, so he picked the ball up and strolled down the line with his back to the infield. Seagar kept on running and turned it into a triple. Phelps is shown hollering for Jeter to throw the ball. Jeter said he almost gave the ball to a fan. Maybe the fan would have helped Jeter and thrown Seagar out at the plate...who knows?

The Yankees are getting senile right before your eyes. The Sox are just pathetic.

I hate to agree with you, but I do. I keep telling myself that there's still time to turn things around. It blows my mind that they had last years best offense in the majors and now this year, one of the worst. They suck getting hits with runners in scoring positions!
Maybe they'll be a good bat available before the deadline they can make a deal for. Who knows? . . .
