Now watch, next year we'll get our MLB best hitting team back, but we won't have Lester . . . We'll be stuck with Buchholz who spends 4 months on the DL and can pitch at most a dozen games a season.

    • Archer should of put a 95 MPH fastball into Ortiz back after the bat flip.

He can't throw any faster than that? No wonder Ortiz took him deep.

There are better ways to get back at a hitter besides plunking him.

I kinda sorta like what preceded it; ya know? That there three run go-ahead bomb that wound up being the game winner.

After David Ortiz homers off him in the next game, Archer will be mumbling, "Big Papi is My Daddy!"

                          • Captain Derek Jeter will move over to 3B to accommodate Stephen Drew who will now play shortstop and bat less than .200. That is unless the Red Sox haven't acquired Jeter in the meantime.

                            • Chase Headley was a great pickup by the Yankees. He makes good plays at 3B and has been a hot hitter since joining the team. A-Rod take notice.

Doesn't it seem like a long long time ago that the Yankees pitcher was caught with a pine tar substance on his hand? What was his name?

It was a memorable HR by Jeter in the 8th inning to greet Tazawa. Could be his last HR at Fenway. I salute the Captain.
